Can children below 12 years old travel alone?
Children below age 12 will not be accepted for carriage unless they are accompanied by a person of at least 18 years of age. The exception to this are our Skyrider Young Flyers aged between 7 to 12 years old for Malaysian Domestic routes only. For a payment of MYR85, the Skyrider Young Flyer will be handled by the Red Carpet team from the point they arrive at the Red Carpet counters at the airport on the day of departure.

How do I book this service?
· You can book this service for your child via AirAsia Travel Service Counter in Malaysia only.
· Make sure you bring along Skyrider + Tune Talk Co brand SIM CARD or Skyrider Badge.
· Booking must be made at least 3 days before the scheduled time of departure.
· The cost is MYR85 per young flyer per leg of trip.
What do I as the parent or guardian have to do on the day of departure?
1. Accompany Skyrider Young Flyer to check-in Red Carpet Service Counter where priority tagging and loading of baggage will be provided according to pre-booked weight
2. Complete the Release and Indemnity Form
3. At an agreed time you will hand over Skyrider Young Flyer to Red Carpet Staff
4. Parent/guardian must identify themselves to the Red Carpet staff once aircraft is airborne
5. Red Carpet staff to assist Skyrider Young Flyer to clear the immigration and security until the boarding gate
6. Skyrider Young Flyer will be given priority boarding assisting by Red Carpet staff from the boarding gate until the aircraft
7. Our Red Carpet staff will handover Skyrider Young Flyer to our Senior Flight Attendants for on board care and assistance, which includes complimentary Ace meal
8. Skyrider Young Flyer will be escorted through the immigration and security by Red Carpet Staff
9. Red Carpet staff will assist with priority off-loading of baggage upon arrival, and then handover Young Flyer to the parent/guardian at arrivals hall
