New Island Transfer Service to Exotic Thailand Destinations!
1. What is this new service?
We are pleased to launch a new service where you can pre-book to have a vehicle awaiting you upon arrival at the airport to transport you to your ferry pier to be sent off to your favorite islands in Thailand!
2. When can I start purchasing this?
From 13 September 2012 onwards.
3. Which islands can I book this for?
These services are available for the 7 Thailand islands: Samui, Phangan, Phi Phi, Lanta, Lipe, Ngai and Yao Noi. Please see the table below to note which airport and pier you will need to select for your island of choice.
4. When does this service start?
Operations start from 15 October 2012.
5. How do I book this new service?
You can book this via normal booking process at www.airasia.com. To make things crystal clear, if you wanted to book a direct flight + van + ferry transfer to Koh Samui from Bangkok you can select Samui Island (Lipa Noi Pier). If there is more than one airport you can opt to land in, the system will show you on the next page. In this example, you will see Surat Thani (URT) AND Nakhon Si Thammarat (NST) airport as two options. Select the airport you prefer. Once you select your preferred airport the next page will show confirmation of the airport and transfer options and prices.
6. What are the schedules?
Departing from Bangkok Don Mueang Airport
Returning to Bangkok Don Mueang Airport
7. Must I follow the schedule? What happens if your flight is late?
The flight + van + ferry transfer is a seamless service that ensures you arrive at your island destination without troublesome transits. You will not be able to take time out to stop for long periods of time in between each transfer. The airline reserves the right to fix the schedule of your travel, you may only choose from the travel times available according to your itinerary.
If our flight is late we will coordinate with the van and ferry providers to adjust the time accordingly so that you will still be able to get to your island destination.
8. What do I do as soon as I land at my destination airport? Will there be someone to meet me at the arrival hall?
After you have collected you baggage, look for our signs and banners that say ‘CHECK-IN HERE FOR TRANSFER’ (Samui, Phangan, Phi Phi, Lanta, Lipe, Ngai and Yao Noi islands) as soon as you exit the arrival hall. When returning, passengers have to register at meeting point at the island pier at least 10 minutes before travel time.
9. Can I book this for a group as well?
Yes, you most certainly can. But you will need to contact our group booking agents or Call Center for this
10. Is AIrAsia providing the van and ferry service or another provider?
AirAsia is working in conjunction with Raja Ferry and other ground and sea travel providers for this service. We have chosen our partners carefully to ensure you receive a consistent and reliable service
11. Do I have to book baggage and insurance for this?
No, there are no ‘add-on’s’ for this service
12. Do I have to check in online or at the counter for this? (How do I check in for this?)
For your flight, you can self check-in via the web, mobile, airport self check-in kiosks.
For Van and Ferry, you need to check-in at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before departure.
13. What documents do I have to bring? Is there a separate ticket for this?
Please ensure you bring your itinerary and passport (or ID card) with you. This is emailed to you as soon as you have booked and confirmed payment
14. What happens to my luggage and belongings?
Once you collect them at the arrival airport, you will be responsible for the safety and whereabouts of your luggage throughout the transfer
