Terms and conditions of car hire:
(a) The rental rates are inclusive of the following benefits:-
• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Waiver (TW)
• Free replacement vehicle. Replacement vehicle needs not to be of similar capacity or make & model
• Maintenance of vehicle due to normal wear and tear
• Unlimited Mileage
• Road Tax & Motor Insurance
• 24 hour Assistance 013-399 8818
• 6% Government Tax
• Free Delivery for distance no more than 20km from our office at KL city centre and within office hours.
• Car wash (during exchange for service)
• Insurance:
• Unlimited coverage to 3rd party body injuries (Subject to change upon new scheme by Bank Negara/PIAM)
• Coverage of MYR3 million for 3rd party property damage
(b) Vehicle Damage / Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
CDW covers accidental collision damage only and do not cover missing items or accessories, fire, theft, vandalism, flood and negligence. CDW shall only be effective with the availability of a police report and the terms & conditions as stipulated in the Rental Agreement and in accordance to insurance’s terms & conditions.
(c) Payment Terms (COD)
We are accept major credit cards only (American Express, Visa and Master Card). Payment must be made through main hirer credit card and subject to approval of the charges by the relevant credit card companies. Third party credit cards are not accepted.
(d) Driver
The hirer must be above 23 years old of age, possess a valid driving license recognized in Malaysia with at least two years driving experience. All drivers are require to provide a photocopy of their passport or identity card and driver’s driving license in advance before driving the rented vehicle.
(e) Petrol
The vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of petrol and should be returned the same upon termination of contract. Similarly all replacement cars will be delivered with a full tank and petrol consumed will be charged to the lessee if the vehicle is returned unfilled.
(f) Parking Fees & Traffic Offences
All parking fees or traffic fines/summonses incurred during the rental period will be the responsibility of the hirer. Europcar Malaysia reserves the right to charge the hirer for all traffic fines/summonses even after the termination of rental period including an administrative surcharge MYR20.00
(g) Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Renter may opt for Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) at MYR7.50 per day for salon car and MYR10.00 per day for MPV with MYR60,000.00 coverage for the driver and MYR10,000.00 for each passenger (Maximum of 4 passengers for salon and maximum of 6 passengers for MPV). Medical reimbursement is up to MYR1,000.00 for the driver and MYR500.00 for each passenger.
(h) Usage of vehicle
• Use in Malaysia only.
• Use only for social domestic & pleasure purposes and not for test / demo drive by any persons.
• The vehicle to be driven in all government gazetted roads only. Failing to comply, the hirer shall be liable
for all accidental and costs including under-carriage repair & cleaning and interior upholstery.
(i) Entry into Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei
All our vehicles are prohibited from being driven into these countries.
(j) 10% discount only applicable in Malaysia. 5% for all other countries.
(k)Terms and conditions of free GPS, Wifi and 1 additional driver∧:
• Offer is available for car rentals booked through Malaysia.
• Free GPS rental, WiFi and 1 additional driver are only available for pick up in Malaysia with Europcar.
• Offer is for bookings made up to 31-Dec-2012.
• Offer is applicable for rentals between 15-Oct-2012 to 31-Dec-2012.
• Offer is subject to availability and may be subject to change or be updated or removed without prior notice.
• Standard blackout periods apply over public holidays or major events or vary by market.
• All car rentals are subject to the supplier’s terms and conditions.
∧ 1 additional driver refers to registering one additional driver during booking so that they too can utilise the car under the same lease without additional charges.
(l) Other terms and conditions
All other terms and conditions stipulated on the reverse side of our rental agreement apply.
