AirAsia to conduct system migration for the move to Kualanamu Airport
Jakarta, 15 July 2013
AirAsia will perform system migration in preparation for the move of Medan operations from Polonia International Airport to Kualanamu International Airport on 25 July 2013.
The system migration process whereby Polonia Internal Airport code (MES) will be switched to Kualanamu International Airport (KNO), will take 5 hours and 30 minutes from 10pm (22.00 hrs) on 15 July 2013 to 3.30am (03.30 hrs) on 16 July 2013, Western Indonesian Time (GMT+7).
During system migration, guests will still be able to purchase AirAsia seats to all destinations except from and/or to Medan. In addition, guests will be unable to perform online check-in for travel from and/or to Medan, or make changes to their confirmed booking (all destinations) using ‘Manage my Booking’ function.
For guests who wish to purchase their tickets as well as to perform online check-in for travel from and/or to Medan, or manage their booking to any destination are advised to do so before Monday, 15 July 2013 22.00 hrs (GMT+7) or after Tuesday, 16 July 2013 03.30 hrs (GMT+7).
After the system migration process has been completed, all guests who are traveling from and/or to Medan from 25 July 2013 onwards will receive an updated flight itinerary with the new airport code (KNO).
Guests from and/or to Medan who have already checked-in for flight period 25 July 2013 onwards are required to recheck-in up to 1 hour prior departure time.
