AirAsia Celebrates 26th route into China with Inaugural Kota Kinabalu – Hangzhou Direct Flight

AirAsia continues to expand its connectivity from East Malaysia with its latest direct flight from Kota Kinabalu to Hangzhou, China which took off on time at 4.10PM today, with a healthy 85% flight load.
This latest direct flight marks AirAsia’s 26th route into China and the 5th route from Kota Kinabalu to greater China. AirAsia has direct flights to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Taipei from Kota Kinabalu.
AirAsia Berhad’s Chief Executive Officer, Aireen Omar together with Datuk Masidi Manjun, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment of Sabah were present to send off the guests of the inaugural Kota Kinabalu – Hangzhou flight at KKIA Terminal 2.
Aireen Omar commented, “We are committed towards enhancing connectivity from East Malaysia, and this direct flight from Kota Kinabalu – Hangzhou will be a contributing factor towards making Sabah a major international hub for both business and leisure travellers. As this is the 5th route connecting China to Sabah, we hope that more tourists will be able to discover the beauty of Sabah through AirAsia.”
