Celebrates new route from Bandung – Johor Bahru, 10th anniversary in partnership with Senai International Airport, as well as arrival of 3rd aircraft in Johor Bahru

AirAsia, the world’s best low cost airline for five consecutive years strengthened its position in its southern hub of Johor Bahru as it celebrates the arrival of its inaugural flight from Bandung into Johor Bahru, as well as its 10th year in partnership with Senai International Airport, and the arrival of its third aircraft into the southern hub of AirAsia.
Flight QZ 151, operated by AirAsia Indonesia arrived on time at 12.50PM today at Senai International Airport, along with media members from Bandung who will be experiencing the various attractions that Johor Bahru has to offer.
This new route connects the diverse city of Bandung in Indonesia, to the southern gem of Peninsular Malaysia, Johor Bahru with 4x weekly direct flights between both cities. This is the third international route to be introduced from Johor Bahru, after Jakarta and Surabaya.
Apart from the inaugural flight celebration, AirAsia also marked its 10th year in partnership with Senai International Airport, along with the arrival of AirAsia’s third aircraft to be parked in Johor Bahru, which is one of the hubs that AirAsia is planning to develop further.
Aireen Omar, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Berhad, Dato’ Bernard Francis, Commercial Director of AirAsia Indonesia and Mr Safuan Basir, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Senai International Airport were present at the press conference held today in conjunction with the triple celebration for both AirAsia and Senai International Airport.
