Sabahans now have another destination to fly with the arrival of AirAsia Zest’s inaugural flight into Kota Kinabalu International Airport Terminal 2 from Cebu, Philippines; marking the AirAsia Group’s 10th international route into the ‘Nature Resort City’ of Sabah.
Flight Z2 191 arrived on time at 1205hrs local time with 150 guests on board, including Filipino media & bloggers who will be visiting Kota Kinabalu through AirAsia’s collaboration with Sabah Tourism Board.
Guests arriving from Cebu via this inaugural flight were welcomed by Yang Berhormat Datuk Teo Chee Kang, Minister of Special Tasks, Chief Minister’s Department, Sabah; Yang Berhormat Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, Chairman, Sabah Tourism Board; Yang Berbahagia Datuk Irene Charuruks, General Manager, Sabah Tourism Board along with Aireen Omar, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Berhad.
Ms Maan Hontiveros, Chief Executive Officer of Philippines’ AirAsia represented AirAsia Zest in the inaugural flight and arrived together with all the guests as well via Flight Z2 191.
This new route operates 3x weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and in conjunction with the successful inaugural flight, AirAsia is offering promotional all-in-fares from as low as RM90 one way from today until 29 December 2013. Guests are able to travel from 20 Dec 2013 – 28 Feb 2014 and this special fare is now available for booking online at www.airasia.com.
