AirAsia and AirAsia X continue the tradition of celebrating the holy month of Ramadhan with underprivileged children. Over 100 children from Asrama Damai (Kuang), Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah RACTAR (Subang Jaya), Angel’s Home (Taman OUG) and Rumah Keluarga Kami (Kajang) were celebrated in a joyous occasion held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel early this week.
AirAsia Bhd CEO Aireen Omar said, "We are happy to celebrate our annual Buka Puasa with the children from four homes around Klang Valley. We are also glad to be able to contribute to the community and making the month of Ramadhan a meaningful one for these children. We also thank our corporate partners, media friends and other stakeholders for attending and the support given to us all these years."
The children were treated to various delicious Iftar delicacies, along with special performances by local celebrities. Over 40 celebrities joined AirAsia for the occasion. A guardian with one of the homes said, "The children are excited to celebrate Iftar with AirAsia. It is especially heartening to see the smiles on the children’s faces and it was such a pleasant experience for them to meet and get together with so many local celebrities."
