AirAsia X, the long-haul low fare affiliate of the AirAsia Group celebrated the airline’s inaugural flight to Xi'an from Kuala Lumpur today at the KLIA2 Terminal. The flight, D7 346, departed Kuala Lumpur to Xi'an at 18.15hrs with over 70% passenger load. The flight is bound to arrive at Xianyang International Airport International Airport at 23:15pm.

AirAsia X celebrated the inaugural launch at AirAsia Interim office today with the attendance of Malaysia’s Transport Minister, Dato' Sri Liow Tiong Lai, Chairman of AirAsia Berhad, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Director of AirAsia X Berhad, Dato’ Fam Lee Ee, Managing Director of Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, AirAsia X’s Chief Executive Officer, Azran Osman-Rani and AirAsia’s Chief Executive Officer, Aireen Omar.

The guests flying on the first flight were also showered with goodies given by Malaysia’s Transport Minister, Dato Sri’ Liow Tiong Lai and AirAsia X’s employees at KLIA2 International Departure Hall.
