Travel to Kalibo
Best known as the gateway to world-famous Boracay Island and the site of the Ati-Atihan Festival, Kalibo takes pride in its rich history and natural wonders. When the loud drumming and spirited dancing is over, the laid-back town’s green attractions take centre stage, among them Bakhawan Ecopark, Jawili Falls, Ignito Cave and Libacao Wild River. While in Kalibo, make a beeline for Museo It Akean and Sampaguita Gardens – two of the most popular stops in town. If it’s a Boracay vacation you have in mind, don’t miss island hopping to Ariel’s Point, Crystal Cove and Crocodile Island. When you’ve had enough of the fine sands of White Beach and the shells of Puka Beach, head over to Bulabog Beach for water sports, including kiteboarding and windsurfing. Check the schedules of the Sand Lantern Festival and the Beach Reggae Festival to make the most of your beach holiday.
