AirAsia launches microsite & contest to celebrate 200 million guests flown milestone

Also celebrating with promotional base fares from RM2 one way to exciting destinations with applicable taxes and fees

AirAsia, the world’s best low cost airline for five consecutive years is launching a microsite airasiamemories.com, which will go live this Wednesday,13 November to commemorate its milestone of flying over 200 million guests this year; along with a contest which will take place for 6 weeks from 13th Nov – 20th Dec 2013 on this microsite.

The microsite is accessible globally, and aims to be an image gallery displaying experiences of guests from around the world who have flown across our vast and extensive route network, which spans across 87 destinations and 22 countries.

The public can submit their AirAsia memories in the form of pictures through the microsite, and the ‘memory’ with the most ‘Likes’ every week will be entitled to a pair of return flights to any AirAsia destination.

Meanwhile, the ‘memory’ with the most ‘Likes’ at the end of the 6-week contest period will win a grand prize consisting of:

  • 2 million BIG Points
  • A pair of return flights to any AirAsia or AirAsia X (Premium Seats) destination
  • A 3D/2N stay at a 5-star hotel courtesy of AirAsiaGo
  • 2 Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphones

Participants of this contest on airasiamemories.com are encouraged to sign-up as a member of AirAsia’s global loyalty programme, BIG to be eligible to receive the 2 million BIG Points that are up for grabs as part of the grand prize. It will be an interactive site, where a booking widget will also be available for visitors to the site to book flights quickly,” added Siegtraund Teh.

Along with the celebration of flying over 200 million guests, AirAsia is also having a special promotion for flights to exciting destinations such as Johor Bahru, Sibu, Singapore, Bali, Yangon, Phuket, Brunei, Kolkata and more with base fares from as low as RM2 one way, with applicable taxes and fees from RM26. Guests are able to book this special fare via www.airasia.com from 11th – 24th Nov 2013, and travel throughout 1st Dec 2013 – 30th Apr 2014.

Bookings can also be made via AirAsia’s mobile applications on iPhone, Android devices, Blackberry10, as well as its mobile site mobile.airasia.com. The mobile applications on iPhone and Android platforms are now updated with the ‘Manage My Booking’ feature as well, where guests can view all their bookings, check-in for flights, as well as manage add-ons such as meals, seat selection, check-in baggage and sports equipment allocation, purchase travel insurance and more.
