Promotional all-in-fares from as low as RM199* one way
AirAsia’s expansion plans takes another step further with the launch of additional flight frequencies from Kuala Lumpur to Kolkata, as announced by the airline today.
At present, the Kuala Lumpur – Kolkata route is serviced by the airline 3x weekly on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays. With new additional Kuala Lumpur – Kolkata flight frequencies included in the airline’s schedule starting 25 March 2013 flights will be available once daily, departing at 3.35pm (GMT +8).
Concurrent with the additional flight frequencies announcement, AirAsia is offering promotional, all-in-fares from as low as RM199* one way from Kuala Lumpur to Kolkata.
The booking period for this promotion is from now until 3 March 2013, for the travel period from 1 March – 31 July 2013. This promotion is available online at airasia.com and also via AirAsia’s new and improved mobile apps, available for download at Apple’s App Store for iPhone, Google’s Play Store for Android phones, or at mobile.airasia.com for WAP enabled phones.
AirAsia Group Chief Commercial Officer, Siegtraund Teh said, “We are happy to fulfill the increasing demand from our guests, for travel on the Kuala Lumpur – Kolkata route by introducing additional flight frequencies. We are receiving very good response for this route with an average load factor of 80 percent for our 3 weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
“The increase of flight frequency also provides our guests with more convenience as they can travel to Kolkata from Kuala Lumpur and return as they please. This is certainly good news for both business and leisure travelers as they can now fly from Kuala Lumpur to Kolkata on any day of the week. Presenting ease of travel is our forte, and we are more than happy to pamper our guests.”
Guests are encouraged to pre-book their check-in baggage allocation online along with their flight bookings as they are able to save up to 66% as compared to checking-in their bags over the airport counter.
Apart from that, guests are also able to pre-book their in-flight meals with a wide variety of hot meals available on board with an option to book up to two meals for each guest. Check-in baggage allocation, in-flight meals, Pick-A-Seat, travel insurance and more are all available online and guests are able to add or make changes to their booking very simply through ‘Manage My Booking’.
