The low-cost airline now offers direct flights for only SGD 0*

AirAsia, the world’s best low-cost airline, today announced two new direct routes from Singapore to Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bharu in Malaysia. As gateways to the Redang and Perhentian Islands, the new direct flights promise to offer an easier way to reach the popular beach getaways.
- Direct flights to Kota Bharu will commence 21 April 2014 from Singapore.
- Direct flights to Kuala Terengganu will commence 22 April 2014 from Singapore.
In conjunction with the announcement, AirAsia is offering all travellers an introductory fare of SGD 0* base fare, one way, on any of its flights into both Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bharu.
- The promotion for flights from Singapore to Kota Bharu is available for booking from today till 16 February 2014, valid for travel from 21 April to 25 October 2014.
- The promotion for flights from Singapore to Kuala Terengganu is available for booking from today till 16 February 2014, valid for travel from 22 April to 25 October 2014.
Travellers can take advantage of the low fares and visit the Perhentian Islands from Kota Bharu, a popular diving spot with stunning corals. Upon arriving at the Kota Bharu airport, travellers are recommended to hop on a short 1.5 hour bus / taxi ride to Kuala Besut, for a 30-minute speedboat ride to the islands.
Alternatively, travellers can opt for Kuala Terengganu, which provides convenient access to the Redang Island, a well-known beach paradise famous for its sandy beaches and clear waters. From Kuala Terengganu airport, travellers can easily hop on a bus / taxi to Merang Jetty before boarding the ferry to Redang Island which will take approximately 40 minutes.
AirAsia operates four times weekly from Singapore to Kota Bharu; and three times weekly to Kuala Terengganu.
