If you are traveling to East Malaysia, you must comply with Article 6.6 (Document Advisory) and Article 6.5 (Travel Documents) of AirAsia's Terms and Conditions of Carriage.
If you are traveling to an international destination, are required to comply with Article 6.5 and validate their Web/Kiosk boarding pass at the airport's Travel Document Check Counter. Your boarding pass is invalid until it is stamped as proof of validation.
You are required to comply with our Article 8.1 herein and the rules relating to Risk Item/Dangerous Goods Notice.
Our self check-in facility is not available to the following guest(s):
Expectant mothers.
Guest(s) travelling with Infant(s).
Guest(s) with reduced mobility and those with special needs.
Guest(s) travelling alone below 16 years old.
More than 9 guests in one Reservation Number.
Credit Card bookings for flights that depart within 48 hours from the time of booking.
Web check-in
Web check-in is available for all flights across the AirAsia & AirAsia X route network. If you have baggage to check-in, please note that the Check-in Baggage Drop/Travel Document Check counter facility is available at all points. Please drop your bag at the dedicated Baggage Drop/Travel Document Check counter which closes 60 minutes before scheduled time of departure.
You can check-in 48 hours prior and up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time;
AirAsia Flights: Baggage Drop/Travel Document Check counter is available at all airports. It opens two (2) hours and closes forty five (45) minutes before the scheduled time of departure
AirAsia X Flights: Baggage Drop/Travel Document Check counter is available at all airports. It opens three (3) hours and closes sixty (60) minutes before the scheduled time of departure.
Kiosk check-in
You can check-in 6 hours prior and up to 1 hour before the scheduled flight departure time. If you have baggage to check-in, please note that the Check-in Baggage Drop/Travel Document Check counter facility is available at all points. Please drop your bag at the dedicated Baggage Drop/Travel Document Check counter which closes 60 minutes before scheduled time of departure. Please note that Kiosk check-in is only available at:

How to Web check-in
How to Kiosk check-in
Step 1:
Select your Departure & Destination Cities. Then key in your Booking Number.
Step 2:
Select guest to be checked-in.
Step 3:
Opt to purchase add-ons (if any) - Supersize Baggage - Pick A Seat (payment by credit card only)
Step 4:
Print your Boarding Pass.
Step 1:
Select your Destination City & key in your Booking Number or You can scan the Barcode on your Travel Itinerary.
Step 2:
Select guest to be checked-in.
Step 3:
Ensure that check-in information is correct.
Step 4:
Upon confirmation of your details, a Boarding Pass will be printed out for you.
