AirAsia introduces extra flights from Kota Kinabalu to Hong Kong and Taipei

Kota Kinabalu serves as an important hub for AirAsia’s operations to 11 domestic and international routes, and is all set to bring in even more tourists into the ‘Land Beneath the Wind’ with extra flights to Hong Kong and Taipei throughout the peak holiday season from 25 December 2012 until 30 March 2013.
There will be four (4) extra flights for the Kota Kinabalu – Hong Kong route on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, making it a total of 14 flights weekly, an increase from the current 10x weekly flights throughout this duration.
The current 4x weekly Kota Kinabalu – Taipei route will have three (3) extra flights on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with a total of 7x weekly flights throughout 25 December 2012 until 30 March 2013.
To celebrate the extra flights, AirAsia is having a special promotion for both Kota Kinabalu – Hong Kong and Kota Kinabalu – Taipei with all-in-fares from as low as RM199 one way. These fares are available for booking from today until 29 October 2012 at www.airasia.com and guests are able to travel from 25 Dec 2012 until 30 March 2013. Guests are also able to book their flights via AirAsia’s new and improved mobile apps as well which are available for download at Apple’s App Store for iPhone, Google’s Play Store for Android phones, or at mobile.airasia.com for WAP enabled phones.
Other international cities and destinations that are served from Kota Kinabalu are Clark, Philippines; Shenzhen, China; and Singapore, while domestic cities include Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang, Miri, Sandakan and Tawau.
Guests are encouraged to pre-book their check-in baggage allocation online along with their flight bookings as they are able to save up to 66% as compared to checking-in their bags over the airport counter.
Apart from that, guests are also able to pre-book their in-flight meals with a wide variety of hot meals available on board with an option to book up to two meals for each guest. Check-in baggage allocation, in-flight meals, Pick-A-Seat, travel insurance and more are all available online and guests are able to add or make changes to their booking very simply through ‘Manage My Booking’.
