CONGRATULATIONS CHANG THAILAND SLAMMERS!

The Chang Thailand Slammers took the crown as the best basketball club in 2010-2011 AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) after defeating Season 1 champions AirAsia Philippines Patriots 75-68 in the second leg of the playoff finals at the Philippine Sports Arena in Pasig City, Manila.

A fairy tale ending concluded a magnificent season for the Chang Thailand Slammers. The Slammers were at the bottom of the league in the inaugural ABL season but made an incredible comeback when a new management led by Mr Nipondh Chawalitmontien, Mr Surasak Chinawongwatana and Mr. Kobsak Chinawongwatana took over. By signing key imports like Chris Kuete, Froilan Baguion and Jason Dixon and with the local players making huge contributions, they were able to clinch the championship in Manila with unquenchable thirst for victory that was evident in their players attitude throughout the ABL season.
