Everest, no mountain proved high enough for adventurer Khoo Swee Chiow, who scaled eight peaks in just as many months as part of the AirAsia Altitude-X Expedition. Be it Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, China or the Philippines, illustrator Pablo Ientile draws inspiration from typical Asian scenes to fill the pages of his sketchbook. Having started his 10-country tour in Kuala Lumpur on September 15 last year, Ientile has camped on couches in the homes of strangers across Asia – all in the name of his Illustration Around The World project. The project, which follows the main character – the bear Pablo – on his journey, also features the work of illustrators from the countries he visits.

Growing up, Dan Lynn, CEO of AirAsiaExpedia blew out candles on his birthday cake, wishing he could be James Bond. Lynn, 30 years old, who helms the development and operation of the first global tie-up between a Low Cost Carrier (AirAsia) and an online travel agency (Expedia), may not have the secret agent powers of 007, but nonetheless exhibits the same magnetism and boyish charm of his idol. He talks to Travel 3Sixty˚ about AirAsiaExpedia and what he’s really like.

Travel show host, model and all-round nice guy, Henry Golding travelled to New Zealand with AirAsia X recently and experienced fantastic adventures including glacier hiking and jumping out of a plane at the height of 15,500 feet. Golding shares with us some of the highlights from that trip and divulges juicy bits including who he would like to be trapped with on a deserted island.
AirAsia is flying British musician Steve Appleton to various destinations in Southeast Asia and Japan, providing him a platform to share his music with fans in the region. Steve will be filming mini travel blogs from each destination, which will be featured on AirAsia’s Facebook page soon. With Sparks, the first single from his new album climbing the charts in the Land of the Rising Sun, Appleton is certainly going places and talks about his music here.
