Minion Invasion at Mid Valley
Arguably the breakout stars of the Despicable Me movie series, the Minions are back with a prequel this June. In conjunction with the movie, the Minions are invading Mid Valley Centre Court Ground Floor this school holiday. You have the opportunity to meet and greet the ever adorable Minions. There is also a photo booth where you can create your Minion memories. It’s happening from 28th May till 14th June 2015, so be sure to make your way there!
Floria Pesta Putrajaya 2015
The Floria Pesta Putrajaya is growing in size and also in attendance. By the numbers, there are 61 showcase garden lots created by 43 international participants from 23 countries. The theme for 2015 is ‘Tapestry of Hues’ and the blooms on centre stage is the Lily which means fresh scents throughout! Two new attractions are making their debut this year, the Spring and Winter Gardens, where the environment is recreated here in tropical Malaysia using sophisticated technology. There is also a Cat Pavilion that showcases exotic shorthaired and longhaired breeds, as well as other domesticated tabbies.
KL Tower Mini Zoo
Located next to the iconic KL Tower is a mini zoo that features a variety of animals including snakes and spiders, as well as birds and monkeys. Nature Alert, a wildlife protection organisation, recently gave it the highest rating of any zoo so far and it’s worth visiting to find out why. You’re guaranteed an enjoyable learning experience for the whole family.
Skyrides Festivals Park Putrajaya
“Malaysia’s 1st biggest tethered balloon ride.” What could that possibly be? Skyrides offers guests a balloon ride where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Putrajaya’s skyline while ascending 30 metres per minute. While you won’t be able to travel far, you will still get an astonishing view of the surrounding area including the Prime Minister’s office and federal administrative complexes, the Floating Mosque, all five iconic bridges linking the “island” to the “mainland”, and the Millennium Tower. The gondola is capable of holding 30 passengers at any one time.
