QPR have unveiled their new kits for the 2013/2014 campaign. The 2013/2014 season will see the return of a couple of fan favourites to Loftus Road, as well as some new arrivals.
Firstly, the new season’s home shirt is characterised by some of the kits worn by legendary players throughout the club’s history, such as Marsh, Bowles, Francis and Ferdinand. The hoops are outlined by thin red edging, giving them a little more emphasis.
There have also been a couple of innovations to the design, such as the ‘Poly Stretch’ fabric. This material will move perfectly with the players, improving breathability, ergonomics and total comfort.
The away kit shares the technical features of the first, as well as also offering a nod to the club’s history.
However, this kit has a unique distinction of being voted for by the QPR fans themselves! R’s supporters were offered a choice of four kit options and voted emphatically for the red and black hooped kit, or what many fans fondly refer to as our ‘Dennis the Menace’ kit. The upcoming season’s version also includes a set of thinner black lines around the bottom of the sleeve, adding a simple, elegant effect.
Finally, the third kit, is inspired by the colours of Tony Fernandes’ Caterham F1 Racing Team. For the first time in several seasons, along with the other two strips, the kit is also hooped, with dark green alternating with strong yellow. This kit was also a strongly placed runner-up in the fans’ vote for the away colours.
The new kits will be available to buy in store and online from July.
