The flight attendant handed me a pack of green curry chicken, and the first thing that hit me was the tantalizing fragrance. All food should smell like this, I thought! The fragrant concoction of coconut rice and spices filled my nostrils, and as I opened the packaging, the savoury pillow of fragrant rice with chunky curried chicken is perfectly complemented by a coterie of brinjal and basil – all in all adding to the experience that made it an absolutely delightful meal. I have to say, I have found my new favourite dish onboard (maybe I’ll order two the next time!).

Penne, admittedly, was not my favourite pasta, but the generous portion of beef chunks sold it! The meal definitely didn’t disappoint (above all, it rocked my socks off!). Beef stewed in thick tomato sauce is an appetite opener, further garnished with just the right amount of oregano, thyme and parsley that made it so irresistible even to a non-penne fan. For good measure, this delicious and hearty meal comes with lots of freshly steamed vegetables thrown in (none of the limp lifeless vegetables one would expect from airline food).
