I always miss home-cooked food when I’m traveling for work, so when I was asked to try the new Prosperity Combo, I was definitely happy to usher in the Chinese New Year mood with our new inflight meal. The fragrant smell of the sweet and sour gravy was the first thing I noticed. A local favourite Chinese dish, and one of mine as well!
Though I’d prefer white rice, the garlic rice is a unique combination that goes well with the fish in sweet and sour gravy. Like any home-cooked meal, it comes with a healthy offering of broccoli, mixed bell pepper, onions and pineapple for that wholesome goodness.
In the spirit of the Lunar New Year, the Minute Maid orange juice is a good refreshing complement, and the pineapple tart is definitely unique! The pastry is fresh and crumbly, and it comes with pineapple jam topping. About time we have this onboard! Gong Xi Fa Cai everyone!
