They say that no two sunsets are ever the same, like how no two cups of cappuccino can have the same froth. Okay, maybe the second analogy is just mine, but let me present you with some of the most breathtaking sunset pictures submitted to the travel 3sixty° Photoblog (so far).

Compiled by: Irvin Hanni

Working an hour away from the city, I always look forward to the commute back home, as every day would be a different scene.  Sometimes a beautiful spread of golden yellow is present, and then there are the cloudy days where all you get is a gentle hue of purplish blue with a hint of red. But on most good days, the sun is simply brilliant. A bright big dot exuding its alluring rays across the sky.

And that is just a view from the same spot every day. Imagine all the great sunset spots in the world that you haven’t seen. Regardless of where you catch the big yellow, you can always be entranced again and again. There’s something about the glow of a faraway star furnishing our planet with essential energy that makes it so enchanting. No wonder it is called ‘the magic hour’.

Capturing a good sunset shot is not easy, but our top 15 pics (from among many others, it’s so hard to choose!) has proven that the wait and travel to catch a good sunset is always worth it. If you think you have a good photo, do share with us at www.airasia.com/travel3sixty/photoblog. Just like a pleasant cup of cappuccino, good sunsets are always appreciated! :)

BALI, PHUKET, LANGKAWI OR BORACAY – WHERE IS YOUR NEXT SUNSET CATCH?
  • Elle

Not to be a buzzkill, but a great number of those are actually sunrises, LOL…

Hi Elle, thanks for your comment. Most of the submissions were tagged as such by our readers, but since it’s hard to be sure we’ve replaced a couple of the ambiguous one with other great sunset submissions. :)
