Divide Group Booking

1.What is this new self-service?
We are pleased to launch a new service where you can now self-service dividing up a group booking of up to 9 guests. We took your feedback on board that individuals in a travel party may change their individual travel plans, so you need to be able to make your own changes.

2.When does this self-service start?
Operations start from 31st January 2013.

3.Is this feature applicable to all types of group bookings?
You can only divide a group booking of 2 to 9 guests and you must be a member to be able to use this feature. If you are not a member, please create an account on www.airasia.com

4.How do I divide a group booking?
   1.Go to Manage My Booking and click on ‘Modify’ for the particular booking you want to add an infant to. 
   2.In the Edit Itinerary column there will be an icon for ‘Split Booking’ – click on that
   3.Select specific guest to divide into new booking (you can only create one new booking at a time)
   4.Agree to the Terms & Conditions and click on ‘Continue’
   5.Review list of ‘Selected Guests to Divide’ and click on ‘Confirm’
   6.Upon successful division, a new booking with a new reference number will be created 

5.How many new groups can I create at a time?
You can only create one new group at a time. If you wish to create more groups, you will need to repeat the process stated in question 3 again.

6.What will happen to passengers’ add-on’s like baggage, meals and insurance?
This will not change. Whatever add-on’s were booked previously for a particular guest will not change after that guest is split from the original group booking

7.Is there a separate ticket for the new group?
Yes, you will be able to generate a new itinerary straight after you split the group booking. Each new group will have a new booking reference number. 

8.If we had already checked in online and printed our boarding passes, can we still split the booking?
No, you cannot split the booking once you have checked in. Please make sure that you split the booking prior to check-in.
