Other than the free cabin baggage allowance, our low fares don’t come with checked baggage allowance. If you’ve purchased Value Pack or booked a Premium Flex or Premium Flatbed fare, a checked baggage allowance is included in your booking depending on the fare type.
We have a range of checked baggage allowances for you to pre-book. You can pre-book up to 4 hours before your flight via your BIG Member account or during web check-in.
All flights except those to/from the United States
||Each checked baggage must not exceed 319cm in overall dimension (height + width + depth) and weigh no more than 32kg.
Baggage weight allowances available for pre-book are:
Domestic - 15kg, 20kg, 25kg, 30kg and 40kg
International - 20kg, 25kg, 30kg and 40kg
There are no limits to how many pieces of baggage you can check in as long as they are within the baggage weight allowance.
If you didn’t pre-book checked baggage allowance, you can still purchase it at the airport counter but it’s only limited to 15kg and will cost more as airport baggage fees apply.
Excess baggage fees will be charged per kg and per flight segment (for connecting flights) for overweight baggage

1 piece (20kg) or 2 pieces (20kg each)
If you didn’t pre-book checked baggage allowance, you can still purchase it at the airport counter but it’s only limited to 1 piece (20kg) and will cost more as airport baggage fees apply.
Excess baggage fees will be charged per piece and per flight segment (for connecting flights) for oversized, overweight and/or extra pieces of baggage.

Travelling with infants and children
Infants below the age of 2 years can’t pre-book any checked baggage allowance. Children age 2 years and above will be able to pre-book their checked baggage allowance as mentioned above.
When travelling with infants or children, your prams, strollers and buggies cannot be brought on board but can be checked in for free. Any form of child car seats must also be checked in but will be part of your purchased checked baggage allowance.
Wheelchairs and mobility devices
We’ll check in wheelchairs and mobility devices for free, provided they weigh no more than 85kg.
Unfortunately, we don’t accept most battery operated wheelchairs and mobility devices. In cases that we accept them, you must remove the battery and carry it into the aircraft cabin.
If you are checking in golf sets, surfboards, bicycles, skis/snowboards, cricket equipment, and diving gear, you will need to pre-book sports equipment allowance . Any other sporting equipment not stated here is accepted as part of your checked baggage allowance. Find out more about carriage of sports equipment.
Smaller musical items such as a guitar, cello, violin or viola which exceed our cabin baggage dimensions provided it is within 75kg (Dimensions: H 103cm x W 41cm x D 41cm) may be carried in the cabin if an additional seat for it has been purchased. There is no cabin baggage allowance associated with the purchase of an extra seat.
