AirAsia Resumes Normal Operations In Solo

Jakarta, 20 February 2014 – AirAsia today announces the resumption of services from and to Adi Soemarmo International Airport, Solo, following the reopening of the airport.

All frights from and to Solo were temporarily cancelled since 14 February 2014 due to the closure of Adi Soemarmo International Airport following the eruption of Mount Kelud on February 13, 2014.

AirAsia has now resumed normal operations on its Kuala Lumpur (KUL) – Solo (SOC) route with three weekly services on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

AirAsia’s AK 1336 flight from Kuala Lumpur landed at Adi Soemarmo International Airport, Solo at 08:23 AM local time (GMT+7), followed by AK 1337 flight from Solo to Kuala Lumpur at 08:50 AM local time (GMT +7).

CEO of AirAsia Indonesia Dharmadi said, “We are delighted that Adi Soemarmo International Airport is reopened for commercial flights. AirAsia flights from Kuala Lumpur to Solo, which is operated by our afilliate, Malaysia AirAsia, has now resumed.”

AirAsia previously announced that its flights from and to Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Semarang, as well as Yogyakarta have returned to normal following the respective local airport authorities' decision to reoperate.
