Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie is a scenic and historic interest area in Hunan Province, noted for its quartzite sand stone pillars. A visit to the area’s Golden Whip Stream is a must. There is a walking path along the length of the stream, from where you can look up and feel completely surrounded by grand karsts. Yuanjiajie*, located in the Northwest of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi (Son of Heaven) Mountain Nature Reserve offer otherworldly thrills. Tianmen Mountain of Tianmen Mountain National Park is home to a cable car considered to be the ‘longest passenger mountain cableway in the world’, able to accommodate 98 cars and stretching to a total length of 7,455 metres. At the mountain top, you can experience the “Walk of Faith”, a 50 meter long glass walkway. Furthermore, journey into Tianmen Cave, a natural water-eroded cavity with the highest ceiling in the world.

Fenghuang is a town on the western boundary of Hunan Province. The majority of the city’s population is comprised of the Miao and Tujia minorities. The Ancient Fenghuang (Phoenix) City is known as the “most beautiful small city in China” and is famous for its surrounding mountains and rivers as well as ancient, primitive architecture. Fenghuang becomes dazzlingly illuminated come nightfall and it is highly suggested that visitors take the night tour of the ancient town to enjoy the beautiful scenes of Tuojiang, Diao Jiao Lou, Shiban Street, North Gate Tower, Hong Qiao and more. For those who are into night life, Fenghuang also offers worthy pubs and bars.
