AirAsia brings home Gold from ASTRID Awards

AirAsia Berhad clinched the Gold Award under the Corporate Annual Report – Non Traditional Category at the recent ASTRID Awards for outstanding creative execution of its 2014 annual report, which was themed ‘The Asean Airline’.

AirAsia X Berhad’s 2014 Annual Report also received recognition for its ‘Awesome Team, Amazing Destinations’ themed report, clinching the Bronze Award under the same category.

The New York based ASTRID Awards was established to recognise stellar qualities in creativity, craftsmanship, innovation and design originality. The prestigious awards received nearly 550 entries from around the world this year, all vying for the top spots across its 25 categories.

Elina Effendi, Head of Investor Relations of AirAsia Berhad said, “As the leading low-cost carrier in the region and a listed entity on Bursa Malaysia, the annual report is a very important communication tool with our stakeholders and we are extremely pleased that this prestigious recognition was accorded to our 2014 annual report as a testament to its creativity and effectiveness.”

All entries are judged by an international panel of design professionals on the basis of concept creativity, clarity and production quality. Each entry will be evaluated three separate times during the preliminary rounds, where the three sets of scores will be averaged into a single score for the individual entry. Only one Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honors Award will be given in each classification after the judging process.

Novafusion is the Malaysia based creative agency commissioned by AirAsia Berhad and AirAsia X Berhad for the creative execution and the publication of both annual reports.
