AirAsia is a homegrown brand that has been recognised globally. The airline was named World’s Best
Low-Cost Airline for the eighth year in a row at the recent Skytrax World Airline Awards in
Farnborough, UK. It is the first airline in the world to achieve such a feat. The award – accredited by
Skytrax (an independent UK-based consultancy that appraises airlines, airports and air transportation
globally) – is only conferred after exhaustive research into the operational excellence of the world’s
commercial airlines, with a survey of over 19 million travellers. The stringent evaluations involved in
the accreditation process and with its eighth straight win, AirAsia has consistently proven that lowcost
travel can be enjoyed with world-class standards.
For its exemplary onboard service, AirAsia was also awarded the title of Asia’s Leading Cabin Crew at
the World Travel Awards last year, beating full-service carriers in the region to become the first and
only low-cost carrier to ever win this award.
Guests can take advantage of AirAsia’s Fly-Thru service to seamlessly connect to anywhere within
AirAsia and AirAsia X's wide network with just one stop at Kuala Lumpur – Asia’s low-cost carrier hub
– and other convenient transit hubs in Thailand and Indonesia, without having to pass through
immigration and with their baggage checked through to the final destination.
