AirAsia brings festive cheer to children of Yayasan Seribu Harapan Malaysia with early Deepavali celebration


AirAsia brought cheer to the children of Yayasan Seribu Harapan Malaysia homes today with the distribution of the airline’s latest Deepavali in-flight meal, Ashok’s Butter Masala Chicken Biryani and Murukku, as well as pre-celebrating the upcoming Festival of Lights.

The new dish, Ashok’s Butter Masala Chicken Biryani is made with well-marinated and tender grilled chicken, mixed with a unique blend of spices along with fresh sweet tomatoes and butter; served with fluffy Pulao Biryani and creamy vegetable curry.

Aireen Omar, CEO of AirAsia Berhad said, “We are very happy to spend a meaningful yet fun-filled morning with these children, celebrating Deepavali in advance with all of them by bringing our festive in-flight meals to them. We hope that all of them enjoyed the performances, games and the colourful Kolum we prepared apart from the delicious Deepavali meals.”

Yayasan Seribu Harapan Malaysia is a care center founded by Mr. Muneswaran in 2010 which houses over 50 children from the age of 2 to 19 years old.
