- The RedGames Jam 2025 ("RedGames Jam") is organised by Brand AA Sdn Bhd ("Organiser").
- This RedGames Jam is governed by the terms and conditions set out herein ("Terms and Conditions") and by participating or upon entry into RedGames Jam, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon submission of entry, and shall also be deemed to have given their consent for the collection of personal information and be subject to the Privacy Statement available at https://www.airasia.com/aa/about-us/en/gb/privacy-statement.html.
- Participants must be at least 18 years old on 11th July 2025. Those who are interested in registering and participating have to be residing in Malaysia and able to physically attend the RedGames Jam from 11th to 13th July 2025. However, this does not apply to any external invites sent by the Organiser to specific participants living outside of Kuala Lumpur or Malaysia.
- Participants interested in joining the RedGames Jam must register via a Google Form which can be found here.
- For registration via Google Form, participants are allowed to register as an individual or as a team. However, for teams, only the team leader will be required to register but must include all details of their respective team members. This allows us to ensure we send everyone important updates and adequately prepare for the event.
- A confirmation email will be sent to the first 100 registered participants. Only registered participants who receive the confirmation email can compete at RedGames Jam. Registered participants who cannot attend the RedGames Jam must inform the Organiser by email as soon as possible.
- Registrants who do not receive the confirmation email will be put on the waiting list and will be sent confirmation emails if slots open up.
- Official communications to all participants will take place through email as well as on the RedGames Jam Discord server.
- Registered participants must join the RedGames Jam Discord server after teams are finalised during the team registration session at the venue.
- The Discord server link will be given to registered participants on 11th July 2025.
- Registered participants who received the confirmation email must register on 11th July 2025 at Asia Pacific University campus to confirm participation, unless they have been invited externally and are living outside of Malaysia.
- Participants can join individually or in a team of up to a maximum of 5 members.
- Participants must create their teams before the RedGames Jam kicks off on 11th July 2025.
- Each team lead is required to attend the team registration session for the RedGames Jam in person on-site between 5pm to 7pm on 11th July 2025. If the team lead fails to attend the team registration session, their spot will be forfeited.
- Each team lead is required to attend the mandatory progress presentation with our mentors between 3pm and 5pm on 12th July 2025, either online or offline. All registered participants are strongly encouraged to attend.
- Each team lead is required to attend the Submissions presentation between 8pm and 10pm on 13th July 2025, either online or offline. All registered participants are strongly encouraged to attend.
- For all registered participants, the full duration of the RedGames Jam duration is 3 days, from 11th to 13th July 2025.
- Registered participants will be free to continue working on their submissions remotely once the RedGames Game jam period officially begins.
- All remote participants are encouraged to use the RedGames Jam Discord as their main form of communication throughout the game jam period, especially in the case of multi-location teams.
- All RedGames Jam participants must adhere to the strict 48-hour timespan of the Red Games Jam.
- The Organiser would like to foster jamming in a safe and responsible manner. Participants are welcome to wear masks and bring sanitisers for personal use. This is not mandatory but optional.
- If participants feel unsafe at any point during the RedGames Jam, please alert the Organiser of your situation immediately.
- The RedGames Jam is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. The Organiser does not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any event venue. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the game jam at the discretion of the Organiser.
- Submissions will be accepted until the submission deadline which is set at 7pm on Sunday, 13th July 2025; after which any updates to the game build will only be permitted after the winners are announced.
- Entries will not be accepted after the submission window closes. The Organiser recommends uploading your submission well in advance of the submission deadline.
- Once the submission period ends, editing of entries will no longer be permitted.
- The most recent submission will be accepted as the final submission.
- Each team is required to upload a playable demo on itch.io that fulfills the following requirements:
- The project page should be clearly labeled with their team's name, game title, and a brief description of their concept.
- Participants are required to upload their source code to a public repository which can be publicly accessed by judges.
- Games must be packaged into a HTML5 build. (index.html is required)
- It should be playable on mobile platforms (web based, webGL) and must be designed to be compatible with mobile phone controls.
- The game should not incorporate any copyrighted materials or NSFW content.
- The game should not incorporate AI art, writing, audio, or code. Participants are encouraged to follow tutorials and guides, using copyright-free assets, or getting guidance from the available mentors on-site.
- Following the conclusion of the RedGames Jam on 13th July 2025, the Organiser will proceed to shortlist all submissions between 14th - 16th July 2025.
- During this shortlisting period, the Organiser will be conducting verifications on all entries to ensure their compliance with the requirements of the RedGames Jam. This process is necessary to determine the eligibility of entries for judging.
- The panel of judges will convene to carry out the judging and submissions review, which will take place from 17th - 23rd July 2025. They will reconvene on 24th July 2025 to calculate the final scores of all shortlisted submissions and to finalise the top 3 teams.
- The prize giving ceremony will take place at the Digital Blacksmith School Industry Workshop from 26 - 27 July 2025 at Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. More details will be communicated to the winners closer to the event date.
- The panel of judges will evaluate and assess all shortlisted submissions based on the following scoring criteria:
- Theme implementation: Are the Buds implemented well in the game? Are they used enough that they become a memorable aspect of the game?
- Genre: Is the game considered hyper casual? Is it easy to understand, engaging yet with simple mechanics?
- Gameplay: Is it easy to learn and enjoyable to play? Does it engage with players and make them want to come back for more?
- Quality: Is the game bug or crash-free? Has a lot of effort been put in to make the game as smooth and playable on the first try?
- Originality: Is it innovative and unique, or does it include elements that haven't been used before?
- Graphics: Is the art style and design good and well-crafted?
- Creativity: Does it stand out from the crowd or blend into the background?
- Market potential: Would it be easily marketable and attract users on the app? Is it mobile-app ready and relevant to AirAsia's audience?
- Polish (bonus points)
- Performance: How well does the game run and are there still a lot of tweaks that need to be made?
- Audio: How much effort was put into the game audio, including the recording quality, appropriateness of the selected audio, and additional effects?
- Mood: Does the player follow a storyline from beginning to end? Do the players get good vibes when playing the game?
- The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify entries if they identify any suspicious activities. The Organiser strongly encourages all participants to engage in the RedGames Jam with a commitment to excellence and fairness. If you believe that your game has been unfairly disqualified, participants have the option to dispute the disqualification with the Organiser.
- All winners will be chosen at the sole discretion of the RedGames Jam panel of judges.
- The 3 teams with the highest scores will be announced at the conclusion of the judging period.
- The prize structure for RedGames Jam 2025 is as follows:

- Regardless of the scenario, the development of the RedGames Jam winning entry will adhere to the specified milestones and checkpoints established by the Organiser to manage the development timeline.
- The quantity of prizes awarded to all winners will be determined based on the confirmed number of team members. (Eg.if the winning team consists of 3 members, they will be eligible for 3 quantities of prizes).
- Winners will be announced on RedGames Jam 2025's official Discord server, itch.io, and partner social media accounts. Winners will be contacted through their mobile number and email. The announcement will be made after 24th July 2025.
- To claim their prize, winners must respond to the email and phone call within 24 hours of the announcement and provide proof of identification. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the prize. In this case, additional winners will be selected at a later time.
- The prizes are non-exchangeable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes. To receive the prizes, all winners should ensure they can provide valid and accurate shipping address details. The Organiser will not be held responsible for any lost packages and will be unable to provide compensation or re-delivery. Winners are responsible for any applicable local custom taxes and fees associated with receiving the prize in good order.
- Minors shall ensure they have obtained permission from their legal guardian before disclosing shipping address information.
- The AirAsia flight is subject to availability and flight schedules shall be advised by the Organiser. The flights shall be governed by the terms and conditions as set out in AirAsia's website at the link [https://www.airasia.com/aa/about-us/en/gb/terms-and-conditions.html].
- The Organiser shall not be responsible for all ancillary expenses in relation to the prizes which are not expressly included.
- The Organiser shall bear no responsibility for the application, processing, payment and issuance of travel visa.
- The Organiser reserves the right to substitute or replace the prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available, and the Organiser may cancel, terminate or suspend the RedGames Jam with or without any prior notice and reason. For the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, termination or suspension by the Organiser shall not entitle the participants to any claim or compensation against the Organiser for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
- The decision of the Organiser in relation to every aspect of the RedGames Jam, including but not limited to the type of Prize and winners shall be final, conclusive and binding and no further appeal, enquiry and/or correspondence will be entertained.
- The Organiser retains complete ownership to the intellectual property (“IP”) rights for the proof of concepts created during the RedGames Jam.
- If the winning team decides to continue developing the RedGames Jam winning entry from a proof of concept to a fully developed game, a separate discussion will be held to establish and finalise commercial agreements.
- These Terms and Conditions will prevail over any inconsistent terms, conditions, provisions or representations contained in any other promotional materials regarding the RedGames Jam. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms in these Terms and Conditions and other provisions or materials, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
- The Organiser reserves the full right to capture, use, reproduce, edit, and distribute any photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, or other media taken or recorded during the RedGames Jam., in any format and through any medium, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, promotional use, and publication on social media or other platforms, without any further notice or compensation to the individuals concerned.
- By attending the RedGames Jam, all participants and attendees expressly consent to being photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded and to the use of their likeness, image, voice, and performance in any such media created during the RedGames Jam. Such consent is granted irrevocably, worldwide, and in perpetuity.
- The Organiser shall not be liable for any failure to comply or for any delay in performing its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, epidemic and pandemic as pronounced by the World Health Organisation, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances of whatsoever nature beyond the control of the Organiser.
- The Organiser reserves the right at its sole discretion to vary, delete or add to any of the terms and conditions contained herein and/or cancel, terminate or suspend this RedGames Jam from time to time without any prior notice, and such revised terms and conditions will be posted on the website immediately. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by the Organiser of this RedGames Jam shall not entitle participants to any claim or compensation against the Organiser for any and all losses or damage howsoever arising, whether or not the Organiser has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage.
- By submitting an entry in the RedGames Jam, the participant grants the Organiser an exclusive royalty-free worldwide commercial license unlimited in time to use the artwork in all formats and in any medium of communication and for all promotional purposes which the Organiser shall consider appropriate. This shall include irrevocable permission to the Organiser to use, reproduce, publish, display, transmit, copy, amend, store, and sell (accreditation will be given to the selected artwork's artist) the artwork worldwide for such purposes as the Organiser shall think fit without restriction. No fees will be payable to the Participant for any of the above uses.
- All other costs and expenses associated with this RedGames Jam and the Prize, including but not limited to, transportation or any other costs of a personal nature that are not stated shall be solely borne by the winners.
- The Organiser shall bear no responsibility for any damage, loss (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss), liability, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by the winners and participant in connection with this RedGames Jam, the promotion of this RedGames Jam or the use of any Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
- The participant shall not hold the Organiser liable for the outcome of the RedGames Jam.
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
