Latest update: New re-timing for Incheon-Manila-Incheon route starts August 1

As part of an overall effort to improve our service, safety, and operations to our valued passengers, we will be adjusting our Korea – Philippines flights. Affected guests may refer to the flight options below.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience with the new schedule. Furthermore, we would like to highlight by route, the key compensation and service recovery options (SRO) available.

For the Incheon – Kalibo – Incheon route:

1. Operate both Z2 8038 (KLOICN) & Z2 8039 (ICNKLO) to its original schedule until August 31st, 2014

  • The new effective date for Z2 8038/Z2 8039 cancellation is September 1st, 2014 and will operate as usual until August 31st.
  • AirAsia Zest will notify all the passengers who booked Z2 8038 / Z2 8039 in July and August about the reinstatement via e-mail and SMS.
  • Guests who have already changed the other flight re-routings or requested refunds but would like to take the reinstated Z2 8038/Z2 8039 flights, please contact our customer service either by visiting to our Incheon Airport office, sending an email to aaz_korea@airasia.com, or via Live Chat and eForms at airasia.com.

2. Cancel Z2 8038 (KLOICN) & Z2 8039 (ICNKLO) effective September 1st, 2014 and merge those passengers to Z2 038 / Z2 039 flights

  • Z2 038 and Z2 039 flight re-timings will be effective July 1st.

  • Guests of Z2 8038 / 8039 will be moved to Z2 038 / Z2 039 on the same day of departure, which is approximately 3.5 hours earlier than their original departure times. This will minimize any disruption to guests’ hotel bookings and travel times.

Passenger Compensation for this route:
  • A USD100 credit shell will be given to each affected guests. The credit shell is valid for one year from issuance and can be used to purchase AirAsia, AirAsia Zest and AirAsia X seats to any destinations including online products and services.

Service Recovery Options available for this route:
  • Guests may request for a full refund of the fares for the flight.
  • Guests who requested a full refund will receive an additional credit shell amounting to 20% of the fares excluding taxes on top of the full refund.
  • Guests who are unable to make it for the earlier timings of Z2 039 / 039 will be provided with the options to either change their travel dates or travel via Manila (i.e., Incheon – Manila – Kalibo – Manila – Incheon) based on availability.
  • A complimentary hotel accommodation, transfer between hotel and NAIA airport and meal vouchers worth up to USD150 will be provided to guests who require an overnight layover should they opt for the Manila connection.
  • For the Manila connections, complimentary shuttle transfer between Terminal 3 (Incheon to Manila or Manila to Incheon segments) and Terminal 4 (Manila to Kalibo or Kalibo to Manila segments) will be provided to guests.
  • Guests who wish to change their flights but cannot be accommodated via the two options below will be requested to purchase an economy class tickets on alternative airlines such as Cebu Pacific, Philippines Airlines, etc and will be reimbursed upon submission of flight itinerary and purchase receipt to AirAsia Zest.
  • Guests who did not receive any prior notification of the new timings and present themselves at the Incheon or Kalibo airport according to the original Z2 8038 8039 timings will be accommodated to the next available Z2 038 /039 with complimentary airport hotel, hotel transfers and meal vouchers worth up to USD150.

For the Incheon – Cebu – Incheon route:

1. Proceed with Z2 048 (CEBICN) & Z2 049 (ICNCEB) re-timings as planned from July 1st, 2014

  • Z2 048 and Z2 049 flight re-timings will be effective July 1st.

  • Passengers will be automatically moved to the re-timings on the following day (for Z2 049) and same day (for Z2 048).

Service Recovery Options available for this route:
  • Guests may request for a full refund of the fares for the flight.
  • Guests who requested a full refund will receive an additional credit shell amounting to 20% of the fares excluding taxes on top of the full refund.
  • • Guests may opt to either change their travel dates or travel via Manila (i.e., Incheon – Manila – Cebu – Manila – Incheon) based on availability.
  • If necessary, affected guests of Z2 048 will be provided complimentary Cebu airport hotel accommodations, transfers between airport and hotel and meal vouchers worth up to USD150 for the flight on the next day (only for guests of the original flight timings excluding any flight moves). Guests will also be provided with reimbursement of transportation in Incheon (taxi services only for those living in Metro Seoul Are) up to KRW50,000 upon submission of proper documentation/receipts. Guests who wish to stay overnight will be provided Incheon airport hotel accommodation, transfers between airport and hotel and meal vouchers worth up to USD150. Guests are then responsible for their own transportation the next day.
  • Affected guests on Z2 049 with hotel reservations in Cebu will be reimbursed with the cost of one night’s hotel stay upon submission of proper reservation/payment/hotel rates evidence.
  • A complimentary hotel accommodation, transfer between hotel and NAIA airport and meal vouchers worth up to USD150 will be provided to guests who require an overnight layover should they opt for the Manila connection.
  • For the Manila connections, complimentary shuttle transfer between Terminal 3 (Incheon to Manila or Manila to Incheon segments) and Terminal 4 (Manila to Cebu or Cebu to Manila segments) will be provided to guests.
  • Guests who wish to change their flights but cannot be accommodated via the two options below will be requested to purchase an economy class tickets on alternative airlines such as Cebu Pacific, Philippines Airlines, etc and will be reimbursed upon submission of flight itinerary and purchase receipt to AirAsia Zest, upon confirmation by the AirAsia Zest agent.
  • Guests who did not receive any prior notification of the new timings and present themselves at the Incheon or Cebu airport according to the original Z2 048 / 049 timings will be accommodated to the next available flight with complimentary airport hotel, hotel transfers and meal vouchers worth up to USD150. Guests who chose to return home instead of the airport hotel will be provided reimbursement of the airport bus/train transportation up to KRW50,000 upon request with document evidence.

For the Incheon – Manila – Incheon route:

1. We will be re-timing our flights Z2 884 (MNLICN) and Z2 885 (ICNMNL), effective 1st August for improvements on service and operations.

  • Guests who did not receive any prior notification of the new timings and present themselves at the Incheon or Cebu airport according to the original Z2 884 / 885 timings will be accommodated to the next available flight with complimentary airport hotel, hotel transfers and meal vouchers worth up to USD150.
Evidential document for submitting to travel agencies, hotels and insurance company:
Upon request by the affected guests, AirAsia Zest will provide official document about AirAsia Zest’s new schedule for the passengers to submit it to travel agencies, hotels and insurance company.

Notification regarding AirAsia Zest’s new schedule:
AirAsia Zest’s Korean call agents at the call centre will inform all the affected guests via SMS, e-mail and phone calls. Affected guests can also enquire further via Live Chat or E-form on www.airasia.com, facebook and twitter.
