AirAsia strikes Gold at Putra Brand Awards

AirAsia has been voted as Malaysia's favourite airline for the seventh consecutive year at the Putra Brand Awards, receiving the Gold award under the Transportation, Travel and Tourism category and marking the airline's continued presence in the country's aviation and travel industry.

Aireen Omar, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Berhad received the award on behalf of the airline group at an award ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

“We are happy to be awarded gold for the seventh time at Putra Brand Awards. The fact that this award is based on direct feedback from the public, it delights us to know that Malaysians continue to recognise us as their favourite airline every year. We have always put our guests at the heart of what we do, and we work hard to deliver the very best experience possible to our guests. I am honoured to accept this award but this recognition belongs to the 17,000 hard-working AirAsia Allstars and our guests," said Aireen Omar.

“We promise to continue to work hard to give our guests the time of their lives, and we invite them to share their favourite travel moments with us on social media using the hashtag #travelgr8 as we celebrate this win together,” added Aireen.

Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), the Putra Brand Awards is one of the highest regarded recognition for brand excellence in the country. Utilising a robust consumer research methodology developed by partner Effective Measure, consumers determined Malaysia’s favourite brands within multiple categories, with each category being awarded a Gold, Silver and Bronze for the most preferred brands.
