AirAsia Relocates Operations from the Old Terminal 3 to Terminals 2E and 2F at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport

JAKARTA, 11 AUGUST 2016

AirAsia will relocate operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta to Terminals 2E for international flights and 2F for domestic flights, effective 12 August 2016 (03.00 hrs local time, GMT +7) due to renovation works at the old Terminal 3.

AirAsia's domestic and international flight schedules will not be affected by the move.

AirAsia's check-in and baggage drop counters for all international and domestic flights will be located at counters 73-81 in the departure area of Terminal 2F.

AirAsia guests departing from Terminals 2E and 2F are advised to arrive 2 hours before the scheduled time of departure. For a seamless travel experience, AirAsia recommends that guests check-in via airasia.com or via the mobile app, as well as print their boarding pass before departing for the airport.

AirAsia members can also check their flight status using the “Manage My Booking” feature on the AirAsia website.

1. Will the move affect all AirAsia flights?

Yes, AirAsia will relocate all flights at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta to Terminal 2E for international flights and 2F for domestic flights, effective 12 August 2016 (03.00 hrs local time, GMT +7) due to renovation works at the old Terminal 3.

 

2.   Will flight times be affected due to the terminal movement?

There will be no change to domestic and international flight schedules due to the move.

 

3.  How can I access Terminals 2E and 2F from the old Terminal 3?

AirAsia will provide a free shuttle bus every 30 minutes from the old Terminal 3 to Terminal 2F, where AirAsia's check-in and baggage drop counters for all international and domestic flights are located in. PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), the operator of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, also has a free shuttle service connecting all terminals.

AirAsia's check-in and baggage drop counters for all international and domestic flights will be located at counters number 73-81 in the departure area of Terminal 2F. 5. Are check-in kiosks available in Terminals 2E and 2F?

Yes, check-in kiosks will be located around AirAsia's check-in and baggage drop counters (counters 73-81) in the Terminal 2F departure area. Check-in kiosks will also be made available at AirAsia's customer service counter in front of the Drop Zone at Terminal 2E.

 

6. Where will AirAsia's customer service counter be located in Terminal 2?

AirAsia's customer service counter will be located near the entrance of Terminal 2E departure area, in front of the Drop Zone.

 

7. Is Red Carpet service still available in Terminal 2?

Yes. Guests who require Red Carpet service should proceed to counter 76 in the Terminal 2F departure area.

 

8. If I have special requirements (e.g. wheelchair), where should I go in Terminal 2?

If you have special requirements, please inform any of our ground staff at AirAsia's check-in and baggage counters (counters 73-81) in the Terminal 2F departure area. Guests are advised to pre-book special services through the “Manage My Booking” function on airasia.com prior to departure to ensure availability.

 

9. Why didn’t I receive any information regarding AirAsia terminal movement?

AirAsia staff will be on hand at the departure areas in the old Terminal 3 and Terminals 2E and 2F between 12 and 15 August 2016 to provide any assistance required by our valued guests during the relocation period.

 

11.  Will there be any change in airport tax after the move?

There will be no change in airport tax. The Passenger Service Charge (PSC) levied by the airport is the same at the old Terminal 3 and Terminals 2E as well as 2F.
