You are invited to step forward to lead and commit to a project that can be organized within your community at any suitable time within the 24hours period. So, save the date and start planning!

Engage and inspire your family, friends, employees and communities and industry during #Green24 so we all can participate and do something together to save the future of our planet.

Here are some examples of what you can do:

Individual Community Companies
✓ Spread the word! – Share information on #Green24 campaign and invite people to do something.

✓ Share simple facts on climate change and what be done on social media.

✓ Be a leader and create a community project! Empower your community.

✓ Organise a community recycling drive. Set up center for collection and invite the community for item segregation.

✓ Community education Programme – invite an environmentalist to give a talk on “reduce, reuse and recycle”.

✓ Clean up your community!

✓ Company outing – organize a waterfall/ beach/ lake cleanup activity.

✓ Adopt a forest and organize a tree planting activies.

✓ Organise a recycling education session for your employees’ children (family day!).

✓ Replace your office light bulbs with energy saving ones. They use just 20% of the energy of traditional bulbs and last much longer.

What else you can do
✓ Paperless day - no printing for 24 hours (use technology, everything is digitally available!)

✓ Use only reusable utensils, mugs and container for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between.

✓ Save water! Saving water will help you save energy and money, and will also help you to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide produced in your home and community, which will help to fight climate change.

✓ Save power by switching off lights and devices when not in use.

✓ Take the stairs instead of lifts.

✓ Car pool or use public transport, cycle or walk instead. Drive at a lower speed to increase fuel efficiency. Consider a fuel-efficient model when buying a new car.

✓ Reduce, reuse, recycle - Reduce the amount of packaged products you buy, reuse shopping bags and recycle everything that you can. Experiment with composting, which is an inexpensive, and easy way to transform your kitchen and garden waste into a valuable and nutrient rich food for your garden.
